Getting a new building on your property is a big deal – it’d be silly not to have any questions. We get lots of questions, but here are the ones we get the most.
Do you ship outside Nebraska? Do you offer free shipping?
We offer free shipping to customers in much of Eastern Nebraska and the area along the Missouri River. Outside of this area, we charge a small fee for shipping. This rate is dependent on how far we need to ship from the closest NE Sheds location.

Do I need a permit to get this building? How do I get a permit?
Yes, you may need a permit for your new building, depending on your jurisdiction and the size, type, and style of building. Please check with your local authorities to better understand the current permit requirements of your area. We do not secure building permits for customers and may charge an additional fee for permit issues (i.e. the correct permit is not obtained and we need to come collect/move a building). We also recommend checking with your HOA and property covenants to make sure your new building will follow all rules and regulations for your property.

Can I place my shed directly on my lawn?
We highly discourage placing a new shed directly on the bare ground or grass. A properly prepared shed pad is worth its cost many times over. Your shed will need to be level to allow doors and windows to function properly and prevent undue stress to the structure. Improper slope and contact with the dirt can lead to moisture problems, rot and decay of your new building.
Do you do site prep for my shed?
We do not currently offer site prep services. Check with your local dealer for references to a site prep pro in your area. If you would like to prepare your site by yourself, we created this guide to help with the process.
Can I use concrete blocks for a shed foundation?
Small sheds can often be placed on concrete block pilings without significant issues. Be aware that blocks tend to settle and you may have to re-level your shed over time. We strongly recommend a crushed stone or concrete pad for larger sheds.
How high should a shed be off the ground?
Buildings should be between 4”-6” inches off the ground. This will help prevent moisture accumulation around the bottom of the structure. A crushed stone pad or a concrete pad will provide a firm base that allows the shed to have adequate space between the floor and the ground.
How often do you add items to your inventory?
Buildings are added to our inventory sporadically, but consistently. New styles, paint jobs, and pre-owned buildings are added to our locations on a recurring basis. Check back frequently to ensure your top pick doesn’t get sold before you can inquire about it!
